Philip V Klippe Cob 8 Reales 1733 Mo-MF MS62 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM48, Cal-1430. 26.99gm. Unusually well-preserved for the type, with steel patina overlying satin luster in the recesses. As is typical for the issue, the strike is not full, yet this is rendered essentially irrelevant by the sheer boldness of the features and the Mint State originality of the piece, which leaves a charming impression upon the viewer.
