Description

Kuang-hsü Dollar ND (1908) MS64 NGC, Tientsin mint, KM-Y14, L&M-11, Kann-216, Chang-CH24, WS-0029. An extraordinary example, elusive so fine and fully deserving of its near-gem grade assignment. The fully struck and prominently displayed dragon awash in golden luster dominates the face of the coin and demands closer inspection. The features are blemished only by minor imperfections by way of light marks populating the clouds, enough to limit this captivating dragon Dollar from loftier designations. The reverse finds itself veiled in a silty patina tinged by a peach haze and muting what would otherwise be fully brilliant appearances. A highly desirable issue that should inspire fevered bidding.
