Qing Dynasty. Shaanxi Caoding? ("Trough") Sycee of 3 Taels ND (c. 19th Century) XF, cf. Cribb-Class XLII (this sub-group not listed). 43x34mm. 103.25gm. Stamped "Xing." A very intriguing piece, most particularly as, while the style of casting conforms with the Shaanxi Caoding, Cribb records no sub-group for this class with only a single character stamp. The first such example we have encountered, and presumably quite scarce. This lot can be submitted to Gong Bo Grading for certification after the auction at the buyer's request.
