Description

Ferdinand VI gold 2 Escudos 1760 LM-JM VF35 NGC, Lima mint, KM57, Cal-647 (prev. Cal-155). Posthumous issue in the name and type of Ferdinand VI struck by Charles III. Exceptionally rare and only the second the cataloger has been able to locate. The various references do not denote this as a particularly scarce issue despite the known number extant. A pleasing mid-grade, gently worn survivor of an already scarce 2 Escudos type from the Lima mint, where only a handful have been certified from Ferdinand VI's entire reign.
