Description

Ferdinand VII gold 8 Escudos 1817 NG-M AU55 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM71, Cal-1752 (prev. Cal-11), Onza-1209 (Rare). The final date for this only three-year type minted in Guatemala, and the only reasonably attainable year in the series. Preserved at a level generally above the majority of surviving examples, the current offering possesses a noticeably Prooflike glow to the surfaces, its few adjustment marks blending quite seamlessly into the overall design. For the sake of completeness, a small lamination flaw is noted in the word AUSPICE on the reverse.
