Constantinople, AD 802-803. hICI-FOROS bASILЄ', crowned facing bust of Nicephorus, wearing mustache and short beard, chlamys pinned at right shoulder, cross potent in right hand, akakia in left / IhSЧS XRIS-tЧS nICA X, cross potent with base set on three steps. Sear 1603. Crisply struck on shimmering flan. Fantastic coin in hand.
