LYDIAN KINGDOM. Croesus (561-546 BC). AV 1/12 stater or hemihecte (6mm, 0.91 gm). NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 4/5. Sardes, 'heavy' standard, ca. 561-550 BC. Confronted foreparts of lion right and bull left, both with outstretched foreleg / Incuse square punch with irregular interior surfaces. Walburg Group V. Berk 9. Traité I -. Mellow honey colored flan. Very rare denomination in heavy standard.
