Description
George III Proof 1/2 Crown 1816 PR65 NGC, KM667, S-3788, ESC-2088 (R2; prev. ESC-615). Plain edge. A remarkable presentation of this first-year Proof 1/2 Crown, presently tied with just one other specimen at NGC for the finest certified. Embellished with handsomely sculpturesque details, the piece simply exudes gem quality--its surfaces alternating between stone gray and iridescent color as it is tipped from end-to-end, containing blues, golds, and hints of magenta. Certainly eye candy at its finest, and a coin set to please even the most scrupulous collectors.
