Description

Hesse-Cassel. Friedrich Wilhelm I gold 5 Taler 1851-CP MS63 S Prooflike NGC, Kassel mint, KM619, Fr-1298, J-58, D&S-134. Mintage: 596. The first example of this low-mintage issue we have offered, and an absolute standout representative at that. Ranking head-and-shoulders above its peers, we would note that NGC has presently certified a mere two examples of the type, the next finest being an XF45. Absolutely replete with Prooflike features, the offering's surfaces appear as deep mirrors of reflectivity, their juxtaposition with the lightly frosted features creating a practically cameo finish.
