João VI 80 Reis 1821-B XF (Altered Surfaces), Bahia mint, KM322.2, LMB-457. 1.82gm. Mintage: 3,189. A one-year type, and the first such example we have encountered since our sale of the Paulistana Collection in 2010. An issue that is almost impossible to locate without post-mint issues, this piece appearing to have been brushed in the past.
