Jose I 600 Reis 1774-R XF Details (Tooled) NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM194, LMB-295A, Bentes-200.04. Retrograde N's on the reverse variety. An example of this rare variety was last offered to substantial fanfare in April of 2010 at the Paulistana Collection. A behemoth of Jose I's coinage, boasting even gunmetal surfaces and subdued but notable tooling throughout. An opportunity not to be missed by the most seasoned collectors of Brazilian coinage.
