Jose I 300 Reis 1771-R VF35 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM196, LMB-291. A single-year issue that closely resembles the 1754-1764 type, though with minor design variations, including a reduced crown and straight lines horizontal lines in the reverse globe. Sheathed in an airy silver patina, remnants of argent luster visible underneath.
