Each side is mounted to cardstock for rigidity. All formats of the 500 Escudos from 1928 and 1929 are rare. This is the first Proof set that we have offered. It is worth mentioning that Portuguese types of known rarity are seeing increased bidding activity, as the collecting field realizes how rare some of these types actually are. The design elements are quite pretty, and the printer notations add character to this rare working prototype.
