Portugal Banco de Portugal 1000 Escudos 27.4.1922 Pick 131s Specimen PMG Uncirculated 62. This scarce, high denomination type is listed only as "Rare" in the Standard Catalog. At the time of cataloging, this is the finest graded Specimen in the PMG Population Report, of only two Specimen graded. There are currently no issued banknotes in the grade report. Quite a rare design with interesting elements. The back is still partially mounted. Typical Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company perforated cancellations and printer notations are mentioned for accuracy. An extremely scarce 20th century design and missing from many collections.
