Morocco Banque d'Etat du Maroc 100 Francs 1.4.1926 Pick 14 PCGS Banknote Very Fine 30 PPQ. An iconic example from an early issue of the Moroccan Franc. The Moroccan Rial was replaced by the Franc in 1919, mainly because of the pressure the French Franc was under after World War I, and its depreciation against the Rial. Views of Rabat and harbor enhance the face. Additionally, one notices a grand palm tree in the center, almost as if it is offering shade from the hot sun of Rabat. Watermarks on either side of a lion's head in crescent, and a five pointed star. This is one of the finest graded examples and one of only a few with original paper quality. As it lays, the corners are sharp, and the paper is exceptional. The lack of excessive folds gives the note a nearly About Uncirculated appearance. It would be hard to find another example with greater eye appeal than this beauty.
