Iran Bank Melli 500 Rials ND (1934 / AH1313) Pick 29s Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Fantastic originality graces both sides of this higher denomination type. The 500 Rials is a scarce denomination and any extant example is a prize. Interesting, this military portrait series was replaced after only 3 years, as the public thought the portrait of Reza Shah was too angry in appearance. Hole punched cancellations and red overprints are seen, which are standard. A rare Gem-quality Specimen, with technical features earning this note every point of its PMG grade.
