East Africa East African Currency Board 200 Shillings = 10 Pounds 15.12.1921 Pick 17s Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. Any East African denomination higher than 100 Shillings is incredibly rare in any format, as the large face value prevented all but a scant number from being saved for posterity. At the time of cataloging, only one issued 200 Shillings from 1921 has sold in public auction, with the balance of known exemplars being Specimen or Proofs. A two hole punch cancellation and notation are mentioned for accuracy. The perforated cancellation is tastefully applied. Only the third example we have offered, this Specimen is currently tied atop the PMG Population Report. Impressive, desirable, and very rare.
