East Africa Government of the East Africa Protectorate 5 Rupees 1.5.1916 Pick 2 PCGS Very Fine 25. The first series for East Africa is extremely desirable, as there are so few notes extant. Currency notes denominated in Rupees ceased issuance in 1920, and became demonetized in 1930. Some rusty pinholes and other traces are seen on this otherwise wholesome, circulated note. Rare in any grade and especially enticing with our low opening bid and reasonable estimate.
