A reportedly extremely rare token type, with Gingras' rarity of R8 suggesting 3-5 known. In his work, Medals Tokens and Paper Money of the Hudson's Bay Company, Gingras states: "Very little is known as to the years in which these tokens were in use of the exact posts from which they were issued, and since they were undoubtedly issued by local officers, the Company has no record of them."
