Pair of Uncertified Assorted Sycee, 1) Hunan Danchuo Bianding ("Single-Stamp Slab") Sycee of 2 Taels ND - XF (Scratches), Cribb-Unl. 35x30mm. 65.79gm. Stamped: "Xiang Jiang" (Xiang River - the chief river of the Lake Dongting drainage system of the middle Yangtze). While the form of this sycee is quite similar to the Danchuo Bianding assigned by Cribb to Yunnan, the inscription on this piece suggests an attribution to Hunan is more correct (Cribb lists no Danchuo Bianding from Hunan). 2) Republic silver Bar of 0.6 Taels ND - VF, Cribb-Unl. 52x11mm. 19.49gm. An unusual good fortune type, a similar example of which appeared in Chengxuan's Spring 2016 Auction (lot 1611). Sold as is, no returns.
