Description

British Colony. George V Proof 45 Piastres (5 Shillings) 1928 PR65 NGC, London mint, KM19, Dav-242, Prid-1A. Proof Mintage: 517. An extremely fresh piece, heavily mirrored in the fields and likely only kept from a cameo grade (a designation currently awarded to only one coin at NGC) by virtue of its lack of frost over the devices. Nonetheless a laudable specimen, presently tied for the finest certified. Ex. Ted Reams Collection (Heritage Auction #3020, September 2012, Lot 23696)
