Canada Charlotte Town, PEI- Bank of Prince Edward Island $2 1.1.1877 Pick S1930c Ch.# 600-12-08 and Associated Front Vignette PMG Choice Very Fine 35. Amazing paper quality and ink are on full display on this banknote, first issued in 1877. Surviving examples of this type are few and far between, and this example is worthy of strong consideration. The manuscript signature at right is incredibly bold. Also included in this lot is a front vignette printed on cardstock. Prince Edward Island joined the Canadian Confederation in 1873, which makes this a very early type for the newly-formed province. Rare and desirable.
