Kirin. Kuang-hsü "Flower Basket" Dollar ND (1898) UNC Details (Cleaned) NGC, Kirin mint, KM-Y183, L&M-516, Kann-281, WS-0366. Variety with fine, small scales. A very fleeting variety for the issue which, in spite of the noted cleaning, presents fully uncirculated details with a pleasing ring of iridescent tone developing around the edges. By far the finest example we have handled, we note that an AU55 brought a hammer price of $15,000 in May.
