China People's Bank of China 500 Yuan 1949 Pick 844a S/M#C282-57 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. An unusually well-executed and pretty banknote from the extensive series printed in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Zhengyang Gate in Beijing is expertly engraved at front. Much above average for the type, this note is extremely collectible in this elite grade. We have only offered this type once previously. That example was in Very Fine grade.
