This red 50 Yuan from 1949 is one of six different designs printed for this denomination within a two year span. Exceptional Paper Quality is easily seen through the third party holder. The plethora of designs for each denomination could have been a method of creating economic zones within China, or the designs could have represented the area in which they circulated. This type is rare in any grade and is especially pleasing in such good grade.
