Many of the lower denomination notes of the infamous 1949 series are surprisingly rare in the best of grades. Pack fresh of originality is seen, along with bright colors and good paper. At the time of cataloging, no examples grading finer than Choice Uncirculated 63 have been sold. Additionally, no examples grade finer than this offered note in the PMG Population Report. The crude nature of the printing process, coupled with low quality materials and a rushed issuance prevents the best grades even on Uncirculated notes. This cherished example is as good as can be expected for the type. An impressive offering of a very popular type.
