Saxe-Altenburg. Joseph 2 Taler 1843-G MS64 PCGS, Dresden mint, KM20. Admirably sharp and toned to an appearance not unlike stained glass, golden highlights at the upper obverse transitioning to a crescent of lilac and iridescent blue as the eye traverses this side. For accuracy we note a small and quite unobtrusive patch of hairlines to the lower right obverse field, with some indication of a prior spot removal. Nevertheless quite attractive, with strong underlying reflectivity enhancing the eye appeal.
