Baden. Friedrich I gold Specimen "For Service" Medal ND (1882-1908) UNC Details (Mount Removed) PCGS, cf. Barac-38 (there, with signature), Zeitz-660. 32mm. 22.20gm. Unsigned. Second class. A quite handsome gold service medal expressing a charming high relief to the devices and flashy mirrorlike surfaces. Though this particular issue is unsigned, the original obverse die was engraved by C. Schnitzspahn, and was reworked for the present type circa 1881-1882. Sold with the original mount.
