Franz Joseph I gold Prooflike Taler 1896-KB PL62 PCGS, Kremnitz mint, KM-X13a, Fr-257, Herinek-1105. Struck to mark the 1000th year of the Hungarian kingdom. A rare and fleeting gold striking, which according to the Unusual World Coins book was produced in a limited mintage of a mere 100 examples. The type is alternatively referred to by Friedberg in a denomination of 9 Ducats. Fully struck, with clear reflectivity expressed throughout very lightly toned surfaces.
