Albinus Bruti f. (ca. 48 BC). AR denarius (18mm, 6h). NGC Choice VF. Rome. PIETAS, head of Pietas right, wearing pendant earring, strands of hair falling down neck / ALBINVS•BRVTI•F, clasped hands before winged caduceus. Crawford 450/2. Sydenham 942. Junia 25 and Postumia 10. From the Bacchus Collection Crawford notes the association of Pietas on the obverse with the symbols of Felicitas (caduceus) and Concordia (clasped hands) on the reverse presumably reflects the Caesarean propaganda of moderation and reconciliation during the Civil War.
