A fantastic pre-Currency Board issue, such notes are rare in any grade, and especially handsome in About Uncirculated condition. As the colony of Rhodesia was expanding in the early 20th century, Barclays Bank was granted permission to issue banknotes. Victoria Falls and allegorical motifs are seen at front, with an African lion sprawled at back. A simply beautiful Waterlow & Sons banknote, this variety has a uniquely African appearance.
