Qatar & Dubai Currency Board 100 Riyals ND (ca. 1960) Pick 6s Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. As the highest denomination of the first post-colonial series, any surviving 100 Riyals is a prize today. This series circulated from 1966 until 1973, at which time the United Arab Emirates and Qatar issued their own country-specific banknotes. At the time of cataloging, only five Specimen of this type are graded in the PMG Population Report, with only one example grading finer. Red bilingual overprints, a hole punched cancellation, and solid zero serial numbers are noted. This denomination is rarely seen in any format, and is eminently desirable as such. This is the first Specimen we have offered.
