France Tresor Public 1000 Francs ND (1955) Pick M12a PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. After WWII, there were several issues of currency aimed for the newly liberated French territories. The circulation of these issues was brief, and there is very little information about the number of notes issued or redeemed. Needless to say, these are some real rarities, of which the example on offer is one. Impressive Art Deco designs are noticed. The straight, rigid lines throughout, epitomize period-appropriate design that is unmistakably French.
