After the conclusion of the 1952 dated notes, the 1957 series was supposed to include a new, anti-counterfeiting security strip. However, the first 500,000 notes bearing this date were printed without the strip, and were issued anyway. The last portion of the 1957 notes, with the security stripe, finally arrived in Hamilton in 1965 after lengthy delays. Only brief circulation is seen on this pretty note.
