As the highest denomination of the series and the final King George VI £5 variety, only a small number of these notes exist in the collector market today. Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company records indicate that 350,000 of these notes were issued. The vast majority were redeemed from 1953 until decimalization was introduced in 1970. This type is missing from many relevant collections and desirable with EPQ status.
