An incredible Specimen, this type was issued at a time of great turmoil in Algeria. From 1954-1962, the Front de Liberation National launched an uprising against France for independence. For the banknotes of this period, one notices a fair bit of confusion where official Bank names are concerned. Annotations are mentioned and a perforated "Specimen" is present.
