Description

Ferdinand VI gold Escudo 1747 Mo-MF VF20 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM114, Cal-212. An exceedingly rare one-year "Imaginary Bust" issue struck in Mexico in 1747 from locally engraved dies, almost never encountered and even less so in problem-free condition; of the four pieces currently certified by NGC, the finest is only in XF45. As such, this example lends an opportunity to acquire an attainable example of this issue that is nonetheless without significant flaws. Wholesome and original, with a very bold strike for the type.
