Description

Philip V gold Cob 8 Escudos 17(14) Mo-J XF45 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM57.3, Cal-107. 27gm. "GRAT" on obverse with date on reverse variety. From the 1715 Plate Fleet. Lightly struck, leaving larger sections of incomplete detail throughout the obverse and reverse faces. However, it also appears the case that this piece may in fact be conservatively graded, as considerable highpoint detail remains to the struck features. Lustrous and highly collectible in this condition, with a few spots of glue residue noted to the reverse.
