Far and away a superior example of the issue compared to what one usually sees from the type, where condition tends to exhibit sufficient handling to preclude higher Mint State designations. This specimen's status, yielding a "Top Pop" designation from NGC, is only further bolstered by an exquisite aesthetic appeal engendered by the night and day contrast of the obverse, which progresses smoothly from stone gray tones at one end to a predominance of silver color in the central region, bright gold coloration drawing the eye's attention toward the opposite edge. A standout example in every respect, and prime representative of Annamese coinage.
