Malaya Board of Commissioners of Currency 50 Dollars 1.1.1942 (ND 1945) Pick 14 KNB14a PMG Very Fine 30 Net. The first of three large format denominations printed before the Japanese invasion of the Peninsula, all of which were eventually issued in late 1945, after Britain was finally able to regain control of its colonies. This note would be desirable in any grade, due to its high face value, large size, and relative scarcity. This example has been slightly repaired and cleaned, hence the netting comments on the back of the third party holder. Nevertheless, most of the colors are good and this example shows less circulation than is typically seen for this type.
