A small, 19th century population, and a pair of issuers hint that print totals were small. Additionally, the sands of time prevented all but a scant few examples from surviving to be enjoyed today. This example is fresh to the market and should stir excitement due to its bold colors and crisp paper. Pinholes and mount remnants are seen on this otherwise very attractive banknote. Any 19th century Hong Kong banknote is a prize. This example is no exception, and only the third example of this catalog number to be offered in auction in the past decade. Interesting, historic, and very rare.
