Featuring a beautiful design, bright color schemes, and unusual rarity, this type is quite desirable. A combination of printed and manuscript ink is seen on both sides of this large format banknote, which was redeemable for a heavy bag of 100 copper coins in the Jiang Xi Province. This is the first we have offered of this unusual type, adding to its desirability. It is unknown how many of these handsome vertical notes remain extant, but it cannot be many, as evidenced by the scarcity of examples in the collecting world.
