Lower Canada copper "Vexator" 1/2 Penny Token 1811 XF45 NGC, Br-559 (R3), VC-3A1 (this coin), Haxby-4C, Robins-29338. Plain edge. Reverse aligned approximately 90 degrees counterclockwise. Truly an astonishingly high grade for any piece from this series, not least considering the usually somewhat conservative grades assigned by the grading companies against their poor quality of production, and not surprisingly as such serving as the plate piece in Charlton. This is by far the finest specimen we have seen of any Vexator variety, with the highest graded specimen we sold in our last Robins sale being a mere VF30 by comparison.
