Iran Bank Melli 10,000 Rials ND (1938) / AH1317 Pick 38Cs Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. A very scarce unissued denomination, beautifully inked, and only available in some sort of trial format. At the time of cataloging, this Specimen is one of only two examples graded Gem Uncirculated, which adds desirability to an already exciting type. The color schemes and paper quality are outstanding, and the red overprints are as fresh as the day they were applied. Interestingly, this very high denomination was prepared on more than one occasion, but ultimately never made it past the trial phase until the 1971 emission. The finest example we have offered.
