Bermuda Bermuda Government 10 Pounds 1964 Pick 22 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. An amazing example of this highest denomination type, seldom encountered in any grade. Only 300,000 banknotes were printed. Of these, only about 200,000 or so were issued. Inflation and the devaluation of the pound resulted the necessity for this newly issued denomination, which became useful for payroll and other cash purposes. Decimalization forced the redemption of this type beginning in 1970. This example we are offering also happens to be the plate note in Nelson Page Aspen's reference book A History of Bermuda and its Paper Money, and will no doubt brighten up any collection to which it is added.
