Description

Australia Commonwealth of Australia 10 Pounds ND (1918) Pick 6b R52a PMG Fine 12. A scarce note in every aspect with only four graded examples registered in the PMG Population Report. The serial number between W601407 and W1000000 indicates this example is R52a in the Renniks Australian Coin & Banknote Values guide, which indicates there are only 3 surviving examples of this variety. Excellent features are still seen on this early, historically important note. Splits and minor rust are noted. Drs. Joanne and Edward Dauer chose this note to illustrate on page 125 in their book, Australian History 1901 to 2001 As Seen Through Australian Banknotes. It also serves as a plate note in the 25th Edition of the Renniks reference book. From The Drs. Joanne and Edward Dauer Collection of World Banknotes
