Macaulay & Babington bronze "Abolition of Slave Trade" Obverse Die Trial Medal 1807 MS64 Brown NGC, Eimer-984b, FT-Unl. 25.8gm. Struck ca. 1830-50. Celebrating the abolition of the slave trade. Obv. WE ARE ALL BRETHEN, two men standing facing each other, their hands clasped; beyond, five people dancing around a tree. Rev. Blank. Struck to circulate at the company's trading stations in Sierra Leone. An attractive piece, with more red luster than one may expect given the grade. Ex. David Vice Collection
