From the collection of a Gentleman, part 2 - VOC, Dutch India - Pulicat (Paliacate) - AE VIII kas (13.44 g.), ND (after 1646). Obv.: VOC-monogram surmounted by PAL / VIII / rev.:.: Arabic legend: benam sultan abd (allah) “In the name of Sultan Abd (Allah)”, refering to Sultan 'Abd Allah Qutb Shah (AD1626-1672) from whom the Dutch received the privilege of a Mint at Pulicat.
