Description

China - Zhou Dynasty (1122-221 BC) - Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) - Pointed tip knife (600-400 BC), unidentified character (DH4.8 var; Daxi2833*; ZENO192347) - 11.17 g., 138x16 mm - VF, this type of knife money was unknown until 1932, when a hoard was found at Chengde in Hebei province. Later, more of these coin have been found in this area. It is suggested that these knives were produced for the trades with the Xiongnu (Huns) who occupied this northern area at that time
