Roman Period 3-Piece Lot of Carnelian Fine Animal Pattern Gemstone Intaglio Seals, Circa 3rd- 5th Century A.D. Consist of: a) Oval shape orange carnelian, depicting eagle standing with head turning to left and holding a wreath in its mouth, 13X11X4mm, 0.88g, minor chipped on back of the stone; b) Oval shape red carnelian, depicting griffin pouncing to the left, 8.5X10.5X2.5mm, 0.45g; c) Oval shape dark orange carnelian, depicting board galloping to the left, 8.5X12X2.5mm, 0.5g.
